Glyph Cards

Welcome back students! Our Alpha Community and our development team have helped bring to our attention that we have been missing cards that affect the way we use the space allocated on the boards or how we move across them.  Most of the time, it seems like a race to get from point A to point B with little or no obstructions. Ambush cards were the only cards that consistently made players anticipate the movements of their opponent, but those cards alone were not enough.   Glyph Cards are intended to add more crowd control and support elements to VoZ which adds a whole new layer of strategy.

The Glyph Cards were scribed into the margins within the Visions manuscripts themselves and now Students can draw from the Soul pool of their Homunculus to engrave those Glyphs onto the terrain of the Afterlife.  The Glyph Cards resonate positive or negative energy with various radii affecting allies, enemies, or both.

Like Ambush cards, Glyphs can only be placed within three tiles of your Homunculus. They can be targeted by minions, which also means they can be destroyed. So far, they are adding an interesting new dynamic to how you maneuver around the terrain and we look forward to testing more options for them to make them even more vital to a well-rounded battle.

Glyph Cards will be accessible to all realms but as of right now, the Light Earth Deck tends to favor them more than Dark Fire.  Students could effectively build a deck around Glyphs in both realms if they wanted to do so, and this brings a much needed boost to the depth of deck building.
